LP Gateway Features

LP Gateway is a web application that allows fund investors to use a web browser to access statements, aggregated fund data and other information quickly and easily at any time. It provides the private equity firm with a way to centrally manage investors' contact information and send email communication that is integrated with online statements. Presenting statements and other fund information online adds to the level of service provided by the private equity firm. It also streamlines a firm's operations by generating and distributing statements and other fund information online rather than in a printed format.

Many private equity firms using LP Gateway only offer statements online.

All statements are dynamically rendered from data stored in a database. This allows statements to be downloaded in either Microsoft Excel or PDF format. Any changes / corrections to statement data are instantly available to investors. Investors can also view a dynamically generated report of all capital calls or distributions that can be downloaded to Excel or printed. By storing data in a database, account statements can be viewed by quarter, year or inception to date.

The online portal also makes other types of information related to a fund available. This includes annual reports, quarterly reports, tax documents, partnership documents, presentations and other correspondence. News can also be posted that includes a description with an attached file or link to an external website.

Features

LP Gateway includes many standard features for both fund investors and the private equity firm's users that manage the system. The portal application may be custom tailored in limitless ways, so please contact us about customizing or adding new features.

Common

These features apply to all users / areas of the application:

  • Branded Appearance – All screens will display the private equity firm's logo and apply its color scheme
  • Secure Login – Passwords are encrypted and the system sends a link to reset passwords (forgotten passwords are not sent in clear text)
  • Single Sign-in – A user may be assigned to multiple resources, allowing them to have access to one or more areas in the application.
  • Contextual Navigation – The navigation items / features shown to a user is based on the resource they select.

Investors (LP / Partner / Commitment Level Access)

The features listed below are available to users associated with a partner / commitment:

  • Capital Calls* – View, download (in Excel or PDF) or print statements
  • Distributions* – View, download (in Excel or PDF) or print statements
  • Account Statements* – View, download (in Excel or PDF) or print statements
  • Delegated User Creation – Request login accounts (to be approved by the system admin)
  • Annual Reports, Quarterly Reports, Tax Documents, Partnership Documents, Presentations, Other Correspondence – View / download
  • News – Alert shows when logging in about unviewed news items, which may include attached files or external links.
  • Annual Meeting Subscription – Sign up for fund annual meetings, when available.

*Statements are shown for a specific fund commitment. When a LP / partner has multiple commitments, they will be given the ability to select a commitment.

Fund Level Access

Users associated with a specific fund (not through a partner / commitment) will have access to these features:

  • Capital Calls* – View, download (in Excel or PDF) or print statements
  • Distributions* – View, download (in Excel or PDF) or print statements
  • Account Statements* – View, download (in Excel or PDF) or print statements
  • Annual Reports, Quarterly Reports, Presentations – View / download

*Statements at the fund level show an aggregate of data showing on the statements for all associated partners / commitments.

Admin Tool

  • Manage Contacts / Users – Add, edit or delete contacts / users and associate them with funds / accessible resources
  • Create / Download Mailing Lists – Filter the list of contacts by fund / communication preference and then download in Excel format.
  • Data Upload And Review – Upload data using an Excel template and select which data to import. Then review statements and activate to make visible to investors.
  • Message Center – Create email messages that may be associated with a fund's capital call, distribution or capital account statement. After sending email associated with a statement, view a report showing all user's that viewed it.
  • Manage Fund Documents – Manage annual reports, quarterly reports, tax documents, partnership documents, presentations, other correspondence.
  • Manage News – Manage fund news items.
  • Manage Annual Meetings – Manage annual meetings and view / download a list of attendees.
  • User Activity Log – View a log of all user activity in the portal, with the ability to filter it for a specific user our resource.
